Win tickets to see Heather Small at Cheltenham Town Hall
She was the star of pop group M People, got the nation moving with the theme tune for the 2012 Olympic bid and dazzled in Strictly Come Dancing.
Now Heather Small is coming to perform at Cheltenham Town Hall and Crackerjack has a pair of tickets for her concert on May 30 to be won.
Heather sold millions of records with M People who topped the charts with Moving on Up, One Night in Heaven and Search for the Hero.
The band won Best British Dance Act at the BRITS and a Mercury Music Prize for their album Elegant Slumming.
After the release of The Best of M People the band took a break so Heather could branch out on her own. As a solo artist, she has enjoyed success with Proud which has become the soundtrack to a host of special events including the London Olympics and the 60th anniversary of VE Day in Trafalgar Square.
She appeared on the Children in Need song Perfect Day alongside David Bowie and Bono and recently performed at Strike A Chord – A Celebration of Women’s Voices in Cape Town to raise awareness of Women’s Day.
“I’ve always been interested in the human condition and what makes people get out of bed each morning,” Heather says.
“It’s about a sense of self and a sense of pride, what you do that makes you feel good about yourself.”
A couple of years ago M People performed at Westonbirt Arboretum as part of the Forestry Commission’s Forest Tour.
Heather also completed a successful run of solo shows at Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club last year and starred in Strictly Come Dancing. She has just released a new album called Close to a Miracle.
Her concert at the Town Hall will include all the M People hits such as How Can I Love You More? and Sight for Sore Eyes, along with tracks from her solo albums.
Tickets: 0844 5762210.
