Heather Small Awarded A Music Gold Award!

The Annual Gold Badge Awards
Honouring A Unique Contribution To Music

Each year the British Academy of Songwriters, Composers and Authors (BASCA), in association with PRS for Music, celebrate the achievements of an outstanding group of men and women that have made an outstanding contribution to Britain’s music and entertainment industry.

This year Heather Small has been selected to receive a 'Gold Badge Award'!

"Heather Small became one of the seminal British voices of the 1990s as part of the band M People. Heather has since released two solo albums and is an ambassador for the children’s charity Barnardos."

Information about the Award:
Recipients are presented with a gold tuning-fork lapel-badge and a certificate of honour. The badge is worn by past recipients as an acknowledgement from their friends and colleagues of the skill, devotion and commitment they have displayed in their particular field.

A commemorative programme is also produced containing citations to each recipient from a close friend or colleague.

BASCA’s professional members are encouraged to nominate colleagues that they feel deserve recognition. The Gold Badge Committee then diligently works to ensure each year represents the breadth of talent working right across our industry.
The 37th Gold Badge Awards take place on Wednesday 20th October 2010 at The Savoy, London.
