The biggest ball in the southern hemisphere, Perth 's Ronald McDonald House Charities Mercedes-Benz Ball, is upping the ante for its 20th anniversary this year.
The charity unveiled its highly anticipated entertainment line-up and ball concept last night in front of a VIP crowd at Eve nightclub.
Heather Small, the frontwoman for 90s pop group M People - responsible for hits including 'One Night in Heaven' and 'Moving On Up' - will fly to Perth to headline the ball straight after her M People Reunion Tour in Britain.
Small's London Olympics single Proud is also inspiration for the ball's theme this year, which is #PROUD.
"We are proud of our contribution after the past 20 years and look forward to the next 20 years. #PROUD sums up the reason why we are all here - we are proud of the families, staff, volunteers and supporters of Ronald McDonald House Charities," ball committee chairman Rod Sinclair said.
The ball, which takes place on November 2 at Crown Perth 's Grand Ballroom, will be hoping to break its record from 2011 when it raised $1.7 million.
